The story does not end with a solution to Jules situation but knowing this is a series, I know that it will be resolved by the end. ![]() There is romance, light funny moments, drama, danger, sweet dogs - enough that you will be entertained. There is a lot going on - a run down house, secrets being kept, crazy people in that little town, bombs going off etc. I love dogs so this being a K9 story added to why I liked it.Otto & Hugh are delightful. Jules on the other hand seemed strong, determined to survive and help her four siblings heal from an abusive situation. Theo seemed a little weird at first, always frowning, clipped conversations, seemingly very angry about something so I wasn't sure he had a lot of redeeming qualities. I knew right away this would be a series. Right away she meets three cops that come into the diner where she works. Jules starts over in a small town with her siblings. ![]()
